Readers’ contributions for Second Generation Voices magazine are most welcome and appreciated. You may express yourself in many ways – through narrative, drama, poetry, drawing or a review.
Please email Second Generation Voices Editor Leonie Grayeff at editor@secondgeneration.org.uk with your submission. You may email the Editor in the first instance if you would like to discuss your contribution before submitting it.
The Editor, along with the Editorial Committee, decides which items are to be included in each issue, and their decision is final.
Submissions should be no longer than 1,500 words – approximately two pages of Second Generation Voices magazine. You may send images – photos or drawings – to accompany your submission, but please note that you must have the express permission in writing of any living persons featured in your photos to appear in the magazine. This is in order to comply with current GDPR laws and must be verified in your correspondence with the Second Generation Network.
Reviews of relevant plays, books, films, exhibitions or volunteer activities of interest to our readers are all appreciated.
We also welcome articles on a variety of topics such as:
- the impact of being Second or Third Generation on your own life
- your family history
- visits to your family’s country of origin
- Holocaust education.
