Dr Barbara Warnock, co-director of the Wiener Holocaust Library, will be providing an introduction to this event which focuses on slave labour during the Third Reich. Barbara will be talking about the current exhibition at the Wiener Holocaust Library, Nazi Slave Labour Perpetrators and Victims. She will introduce Network Events Committee Member Steve Karmeinsky. Steve will talk about his father Rudy Kennedy’s experience as a slave labourer in Auschwitz and Mittelbau-Dora, their trip to Auschwitz in 1995 and his father’s battle for compensation which led (in part) to the founding of the Claims Conference.
